FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Most sauna sessions are held on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, but days may vary week-to-week. Check for openings on our booking calendar. Contact us directly with any special requests.

  • Sessions can be rescheduled or cancelled up to 48 hours in advance. After 48 hours you will be charged for the rate of a full session.

  • We will keep a close eye on high winds and storms that would negatively impact your session. If extreme weather forces us to cancel your session, we will provide as much notice as possible. We’ll reach out to you directly to rebook.

  • We're located on the property of Danuta Rogula Art Gallery, right off the highway in Britannia Beach. If using Google Maps, type in "Danuta Rogula Art Gallery" as Google may misplace the address.

The location is accessed via a driveway just south of the Britannia Beach stop lights (just south of Copper Drive).

Coming from the north (Squamish, Whistler) turn right just after the Copper Drive lights. Cross the railroad tracks and immediately turn right again, following the driveway along the water. You will see a large parking area after passing by the Gallery house. The sauna area is on the left.

If you are coming from the south (Vancouver, West Van, North Van etc.), you will not be able to make a left turn directly into the driveway off of the hwy. Turn right at Copper Drive and backtrack about 100 metres on the Sea-to-Sky. Similarly, if you are heading north after your session, first go south about 200 metres and turn around at the rest station.

  • Signing the waiver before using the sauna is mandatory for all participants. You can access the waiver here.

    • Personal towel (even better, bring two: one to sit on, one dry off with)

    • Bathing suit- save time and arrive with it on

    • Water shoes for the beach. Securely fitting shoes are highly recommended, such as Crocs, Tevas, etc. (no shoes in the sauna)

    • Water bottle / thermos (we have additional fresh water onsite)

    • Warm clothes to bundle up post-sauna

  • If you would like to book a private session you can do so on the booking page . If none are available for your date, reach out to us directly.

  • We do not currently offer memberships.

  • We’re right on the water so swimming and cold dunking are possible. The beach is rocky and can be very slippery so please be careful and wear water shoes or sandals!

Swimming is more challenging (but still possible) at low tide. You can check the tide table here. Please swim at your own risk, there is no lifeguard on-site.

  • We have a changing tent and outhouse on site. We suggest arriving in your bathing suit to save time before your session begins.

  • Towels, robes and plastic water-bottles.

  • No alcohol, cigarettes or drugs on-site. You will be asked to leave if this policy isn’t followed.
